Crafty Secrets NEW product show offs+Give Away!!

I am a bit late with this post because i got kidnapped for my birthday.But go on and check out the Crafty Secrets blog quickly because there is a new challenge going on and it's all about showing off the new products!And let me tell you that they are amazing!!I can't praise the new CD Creating with Vintage Patterns enough,and i made two layout's showing some of the amazing papers and embellishments.Wan't a chance to win the CD or the Creative Scraps i used for my layout's??Just follow my blog,then leave a comment and i will pick a winner this Sunday!This layout "Let them eat Cake" is totally inspired by the little Marie Antoinette from the new mini-vintage Creative Scraps.I also used the other side as paper for my layout.It was almost a shame to tear it up!I also cut out some embellishments for my layout like the butterfly's and the clock.The papers i printed were distressed and applied with gel medium.Then i covered it with some paint and stamped on it with gesso to get a worn look.I used the Artsy Banner stamps for that.The frames behind the photo,the locket,photo corners and journaling note are all printed from the CD Creating with Vintage patterns.

The picture is taken by my friend Anita mundt.This layout is about my favorite Antique's,some found in Lille,France!Like my beloved lady print that we call Lille.(Simply because we found her on the Antique market in Lille...)

I printed the rose paper from the CD and sewn it to the cardstock.Then i used the Artsy Banners stamp set to stamp on the background.I also used the set to stamp a postage stamp to the right top.Using the Frame It stamp set i created some journaling lines in the left corner.I punched a lace border from the paper i printed and added it to bottom.I used a pearl pen to create pearls in the little holes.The roses,eiffeltower,clock and beautiful frame are all on the CD!!

Crafty Secrets Design Team Challenge "Childhood theme"

Hey everyone!We are having a fun challenge at the Crafty Secrets blog with a Childhood theme. I played along and created this layout using the amazing new CD Creating with Vintage Paterns from Crafty Secrets.It's full of amazing papers and embellishments for you digi and hybrid scrapbookers.Since i don't make digi pages,i printed the papers and embellishments.I love all the little embellishments like the hinges,clock and the photo corner.

Boy's Rule

Atleast,that's what they think... :) I made this layout for the Skissedilla challenge by Tara Anderson.Love her colorful retro style!Pictures were made earlier this year at the playground in front of our house.I love working with Primary colors for Boy's layouts.Too bad there aren't many Cool lines for Boy's.They are all so childish...I am alway's on the look out for cool Boy stuff,so any product ideas are more then welcome!

The Amazing Spiderman

I told you i was going to show you something different... :) My oldest,wearing his all time favorite Spiderman hoody.He would wear this one everyday if i would let him.The Hambly background paper has been in my stash for years.I have been saving it for that special layout.Probably a Sex and the City layout when i was New York...But since that will not be happening anytime soon,i thought i would just use it for this.I think it turned out kinda cool!The Spiderman embellishments are from EK succes.And can you believe i used eyelets??I havn't used those for suchhhh a long time.I can't even remember when!

Summer!!

First day of summer...And i have a Spring layout to show you :) Can't wait for the real summer to begin,we have had nothing but rain the last couple of day's.But then again,when it get's hot we are complaining that it's too hot.Because it is,there is no inbetween here!

I made a layout using a picture made by Anita Mundt.It is my favorite picture,and the colors fit this paper perfectly.I used little bits and pieces mostly from K&Company.It felt so so so good creating again.I have been busy with asignments so i had no Me time for a while.But i have some spare time now,any good challenges or something i need to look into?

Changes

Yes,there are gonna be some changes over here!I love blogging,i really do...It doesn't look like it,i know but i can tell you i really do.For a long time this blog was mainly about scrapbooking.But since this blog is named Today's Mommy and it's about me,why not share all my other stuff here?(You know like anyone else does...)Like for an example,i love shopping.Especially thrifting...But somehow i don't share much about it on my blog.Why not??So i decided to start making some changes and pick up the blogging again.Big time now,since i miss it!Maybe i even switch over to typepad?Not sure about that though...

This weekend we had a big fleamarket in the city here,called the May market.My favorite event here in Tilburg,The Netherlands.It's huge and starts around 08.00PM on Saturday and ends on 05.00PM the next day.We alway's have so many fun finds.I will make some pictures tomorrow and share them with you.

But for now i would love to share with you my new bracelet.There is a story behind it...I googled something about fashion and stumbled upon a photoshoot of 2 famous models.Then i googled the photoshoot and found a blog from girl who is crazy about fashion.She had a random post of inspiration,including a picture of a girl wearing the most beautiful bracelet.I love fashion,i really do but i don't often feel like i need to have something.I just admire it,and think wow that is so cool and that's about it.But THIS bracelet,triggered something inside me.So i wanted to know who the girl in the picture was and where i could buy that beautiful bracelet.I emailed the girl and asked her.So after she linked me to the girl's blog and the post about her outfit wearing the bracelet,i found out where i could buy the bracelet.It's from Bimba and Lola,a Spanish designer store and they have the most amazing stuff!Unfortunately the bracelet could only be paid for with a credit card,which i don't have.So i went looking online searching for a store that i could buy the bracelet using Paypal.NOTHING!Nowhere...So i went looking on Ebay,i looked in England,America,Spain,Holland,Germany and eventually France.And there it was!No jewellery what so every from Bimba and Lola,ONLY my most wanted Starfish Bracelet.It felt like it was meant to be...Can't wait to recieve it!!

I also went Nailpolish shopping,since there was this deal at the drugstore here.But 1 and get 1 for free!And since the lovely colors from Essence are only around 1,30/1,70 and the colors from Catrice and NYC were around 2,50/2,99,i had to buy a few colors.Just a few... :) I will share soon.

How can i resist?

He know's it,i know it...my family know's it!I simply can't resist that face. :)

So we are moved,finally!Horrible,i can tell ya.I hope i never ever ever have to move AGAIN!Because,i simply have too much stuff haha

I have done some assignments,here are some sneaks.Worst sneaks ever,i know but i forgot so these are last minute sneaks... :)

Now i am off to catch up on all the blogging my friends have done.With no internet it felt like living on another planet...

Say Cheese!

I am in the middle of moving house...Which is a BIG deal when you have as much stuff as i do!! :)

Can't wait to just sit down and scrapbook in my new "corner".No more scrapbook room for me,as the kids are getting their own rooms.Guess my corner will be in the livingroom,somewhere...

Ofcourse when you are in the middle of moving you feel like doing anything but packing...So i decided to scrapbook and send my work in for the Pencil Lines DT call.I love all the inspiration from that place!I also love their sketches and love to play along with them.So,keeping my fingers crossed here...

The Happiest Soul

She just is!I've never seen her grumpy...or complaining...or freaked out.Okay maybe freaked out once...but it was before her wedding! :)

Don't you just love that Cheshire cat rub-on hihi My sweet friend arrived yesterday/today from Dubai,and i can't wait to hang out with her all weekend!I feel so creative,i could just create all day long!

Scrapidées and Page Maps.

I played with a sketch from Scrapidées.A french sketch blog with great inspiration.My new found friend Zyan inspired me to play along.Her work is so lovely!The journaling is behind the foto on a tag.I used spray ink and Blonde Moments paint.Gotta get me some more of those!I used a sketch from Page Maps for my HOERA layout.This was a fun one too!As you can see completely different then the "books" layout,but i like these colors for boy's.A layout about my favorite things to do.Love this paper btw,great colors!Lot's of "saved" tags here from clothes,places and the cinema. :)I'm going to do some Scrapbook shopping this weekend with my friend Marianne and her mom,yay!I hope they will have some new lines from CHA...
