Summer is here!

And i have all the time in the world to Scrapbook :) Well not really because you know we parents have to entertain the kids, but when they are watching movies or playing video games when the weather isn't so nice outside...I can play!Which is exactly what i did these last couple of day's.

You know my layout for Dove of the East i showed earlier, here is a better close up from the layout. Can't tell you enough how much i love her products!Doveen has been busy with a few things and i am so happy for her things are working out.

I decided to work on a layout for OLW,i used to play along and always loved it.Very inspiring, especially if you want to improve your journaling.Something i am alway's trying to do...My layout is about something that happened a few weeks ago.I was walking home from bringing my kids to school, and decided to make a picture for my friend Marianne to show off my new red lipstick. While using my Phone and the reverse camera button,i snapped a few pictures. All of a sudden this woman comes "running" towards me,asking why i was making pictures from her house???WOW,this sure was embaressing!I had to tell the woman i was not making pictures from her home, but i was making pictures from my new red lipstick...I think i better stick to my balcony for making selfies :) The OLW for this challenge is Crazy, and i am pretty sure it's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of me lol

My other layout was inspired by a technique i saw on TwoPeas using gel medium and a stencil.Well, let me just say that i wasn't using the right stencil and forgot to mix some Gesso so it didn't really turned out how i wanted it.So using the same stencil i decided to just used regular acrylic paint and some crackle paint for a nice effect.I like how this turned out!And the seagreen color is my absolute favorite color on this moment.(Although it has been for a few years now...)Pictures are from my Summer Wardrobe, which i absolutely love!I should move to a country where the weather is always nice,so i could wear summer dresses everyday.Too bad i can't stand the heat,so it should be around 25c.

I think it turned out kinda cute,a mix of Navaho/Aztec and Soft flowers like the prints in my wardrobe.Don't you just love to mix and match old and new Scrapbook stash? For me it's always nice to have new goodies because they always inspire me just like new pictures to work with. But going through my goodies i collected over the years and complete my project with them is just as much fun.
I have two more layouts that i don't think i showed here before.A Fall layout for Julian's album and a Halloween layout, both totally different :) I remember having the best time at that Halloween party.Dressing up in the car on our way and turning my BF into a Ghost pirate (eventhough he hates this stuff!)was so funny!

Busy me

Summertime is almost here and we all know what that means!Entertaining the kiddo's with outside stuff like picnicks, swimming, going to the movies and more.So i decided that this week i would focus on myself while thhe kids were at school. The weather was beautiful(with beautiful i mean FREAKIN HOT)and i relaxed and did some shopping.Went to the city with my bff Marianne and to the Mc Donalds with the kids afterwards. Then the weather changed into rain, and i got sick.So spent my day's sleeping and working on my painting i started on a workshop.I want to create a painting that looks different to everyone. You might see a butterfly, fairy or flower in it?Or maybe something else, and that's just great!
My new favorite drink this summer will be Sangria! My mom make's it so good, and i simply can't stop...I am pretty sure there will be many nights this summer including this fun drink!
Here are some Instagram shots in my week of ME time. Some OOTD and hair do pictures.

My new goal is to make everyday pictures with my phone and start working on some Project Life pages,i have seen so many fun pages!!I will keep u updated, happy scrapping!

Melting, i am melting...

It sure is HOT here in The Netherlands, great for working on my skintone but not so much for the creativity. But good news is...Tatadaaa I created a new project using Dove of the East products!Love love love Doveen's products, can't compliment them enough. Her unique design's and embellishments are joy to work with, and this layout came together all by itself.I wanted to create some more projects but i ran out of Paris themed photo's,so i'm gonna have to print some.

Here's what i made using the Paris line.My nr.1 favorite activity, thrifting!Should you ever have to answer a quiz about me ;)

Good news on the Boy's department! Both are going over to the next grade.Happy Mommy!
Here are some pictures from Maxim with his new presents, and still have to make some of Julian.
Ofcourse Maxim decided to pick something from Cars, and a toy from a new movie called Planes.I see a new favorite coming up!Julian got Lego Monster Fighters and Lego Harry Potter, how surprising?! lol

I am totally into Instagram at the moment, when i first got it for Android it only had three filters...Boring!But they have upgraded and i am getting seriously hooked, hope i'm not stalking you people with pictures of crazy old me :) If you like you can add me,my name is todaysmommy !

Hi

So it has been like...forever since i've done a post. And it has been forever since i did anything creative. If someone would ask me why and what did you do instead?I havn't really got a good answer. There is not a real reason why i didn't do anything creative,i was just not feeling like it.Maybe just lazy?Maybe just busy with life?I don't really know.So what did i do instead...I was keeping myself busy with watching series and movies, going thrifting in the weekends and spending time with family. But what about all those days during the week?I was just asking myself this question the other day,and i had no answer!I seriously have no idea where all my days go.It is seriously bugging me,so i have to do some serious changes.I need to do more great things,so i have more great stories to tell!!

When i am feeling stressed or emotional,i have a great urge to do something creative.(Or eat Chocolate!)I have missed Scrapbooking,a lot!But since my desk was full with...crap,and i don't really have a great lamp to scrapbook in the evening i just didn't create anything anymore.Because my day's were so full and overbooked...No,i was just lazy!Instead i would just browse Pinterest or Ebay looking for more stuff to fill my house with instead of declutering my house.

So my new goal is to create atleast something every week!(I have to take it slow... lol)But maybe if i feel really inspired stuff will keeps on going here,i sure hope so!Since Julian is totally into Lego at the moment( and when i say Lego i especially mean Lego Harry Potter), we have been watching the Harry Potter movies over and over again. So are Love for Harry Potter has made a huge comeback in our lives.I think it will be fun to start making a little Harry Potter album with stuff that i printed and pictures from Julian etc.

Before i go and hope to create something for my new(hopefully creative)post,i will leave you with my cute vintage wallpapers i found while thrifting.Aren't these cute?!

Have a great day and Happy Scrapping!

Let's Hang out and Celebrate!

Not celebrating fall, because i can't stand this cold rainy weather...But this layout is about celebrating friendship!I love the feeling you get from a girls night(or day!)Just stepping out of the whole mommy routine stuff.Time to breath and enjoy watching chick flicks and such.Perfect time to celebrate with some Desperado's and snacks ;)Almost everything here is Crafty Secrets products. My favorite thing about Crafty Secrets is all these fantastic images.I mean come on...A pin-up butterfly??A girl who burns here clothes ironing, while talking on the phone??(Reminds me of burning my boyfriends carpet back in high school)And all these other Vintage images that i Love so much.So so cool!I used the Let's Hang out set for the cute girl on the phone and the Let's Hang out and Celebrate stamp! On the Creating with Vintage Patterns are a lot of great papers, but i also enjoy using all of these great embellishments like this cute flower.I Love going Hybrid.Love that word too, makes me think of Vampire Diaries!Maybe i am a Vampire and Werewolf in one, lol!
I had lot's of fun with Glimmer Mist and the lovely new stamps here.I used the Artsy Banners set for the garland and the Lacey Patterns set for the background design.
Even though i do not like Fall,i am a sucker for the warm colors.Couldn't help my self of shooting some picture of my pretty boy's.They are getting way too big!!Gotta love the clothes for bigger boy's though. Can't get enough of all these great boots that i see everywhere.A picture of our CRAZY cat's...Smothered together on their new throne.

I'll be back soon with some more things to show. How was everyone's Halloween??We had a blast!Exhausting, but worth it :)

Happy Scrapping!

Crafty Secrets Envelope Challenge $25 give-away!

We are having a fun new challenge over at Crafty Secrets.Using this cool video from incredible things,we made gift bags from an envelope.Sandy is giving away atleast 1 $25 Certificate depending on how many people post their bags on Facebook. So ladies, start creating and posting on Facebook. My theme is Adult B-day,and i went for the shabby look using the Crafty Secrets Vintage Patterns CD,Mini Vintage Creative Scraps and the booklet Girlfriends Image & Journal Notes.

I also added some glitter,a pearl and a handmade lace flower.

I used a tutorial from this blog and the best part of it is...no sewing required!

I added some 3-D tape to the gold corners, the crown and the tag to add some depth. On the inside of the bag i used a lace doily to hold the chocolate treats.
I added some sparkle to the tag with some Stickles from Ranger.Don't you just Love glitter??
And a little 3-D crown for the Birthday Queen :)Be sure to check out what the girls have made.Their creativity is amazing and they always blow me away.

Dove of the East Paris Vintage

So this post is all about Dove of the East! When i first discovered this brand i was amazed by the refreshing designs and theme's.Doveen is the founder of Dove of the East,a really sweet and inspiring lady.Check out her blog here Dove of the East Scrapbooking Blog.Being an huge Paris fan,the collection Paris Vintage was my instant favorite. But the other collections are just as special like Russia Journey,India Journey,China Journey,Japan Journey and Shanghai Vintage. Not only are the papers so unique and beautiful, the embellishments are Antique trinkets you want to treasure forever!Believe me,you are not gonna want to use them because they are just too PRETTY!I designed two layouts for Dove of the East using the Paris Vintage collection and it gave my mojo a huge boost.I loved creating these two layouts, the products match so well together that a design was easily created. The titles of the papers are called;Flower Tower,Letters From Paris,Cafe Reverie,Paris I Love You,We'll Always Have Paris,I Was A Free Man In Paris,Twilight In The Tuileries,Cherie,Pastiche,Esprit Du Temps,Amour and Meet Me In Montmartre.Perfect right?
This layout is about missing Paris.I havn't been there in almost 3 years and i wish i could go and have lunch at Laduree.Making a wish under the bridge and take lot's of beautiful pictures.I hope to see Paris again in Spring next year and visit a nice Antique market.Maybe i can finally try out some of those fabulous Macaroons i keep hearing about!I used a lot of 3-D tape and experimented with the stitching settings.Don't you just love the vibrant color of these roses, they are so romantic.Got me thinking about Valentines!First i cut out the corners, then i taped some paper to the back and layered the corners with 3-D tape to let them stand out.I love the effect it has on the layout,it really makes a difference!I added stitching to the photo and card on the background. This way it looks like i added these myself :) Aren't these papers just gorgeous??These stamps are actually from the Russia Journey, but they were so pretty i just had to use it on my layout.I used the one in the top right corner as a border. This picture was taken by the Carrousel at Montmartre,so i just had to use it with the "Meet me in Montmartre"paper.I had to cut it out and use it as a title in the left corner. The colors matched the picture so well,it made me Happy! The kraft envelope, the stitching, the turquoise embellishment and rose ribbon all just gave the layout a warm and vintage feeling.Ticket and money were cut out of the paper and used as embellishments together with the Vintage Paris metal suitcase.I crunched the paper embellishments a bit and added distress ink to add more of a vintage touch. These chipboards come in a Organza pouch and are called Bags of Chips, fun!I used the Europe Journey Foreign Accents and this is what the website say's;Classic, opulent and elegant, Europe Journey travels back in time to Imperial Europe when empires were ruled by Kings and Tzars, Queens and Tzarinas. From the mystical forests to the grand palaces, our chipboard stickers let you create the magic of Imperial Europe with your own imagination.

Did i already mention that i am in love with Dove of the East??Seriously,go check out the website and fall in Love with it just like i did. Dove of the East
