Workshop Project Life Disney Magic @ Scrobby

My first workshop @ Scrobby was so much fun. Three hours full of Disney Magic using the Simple Stories Say Cheese II line. This was my first Project Life workshop and i really enjoyed it. The new workshop space looked amazing, such a beautiful home. Look at all of my students creating, makes me happy!

My new workshop is now online, you can find the details here. This time it's gonna be a Memory Planner workshop. Seriously addicted on working in my Heidi Swapp and Webster's Pages planner.
Thank you for visiting my blog, have a great weekend!

Project Life

Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well! Just a quick update here.
Today i want to show a new Project Life spread i made with Kelly Purkey's Hero Arts Stamps and Basic Grey Second City papers. I just love these fresh Basic Grey colors, they are very easy to work with. Never thought i would say that when using so many bright colors but it is true! I bought the digital Second City papers on Jessica Sprague and printed them at home. So i'll guess this is called a Hybrid Project Life spread :)
I will be teaching my workshop Disney Magic @ Scrobby this weekend, and it is sold out, yay! Very excited about this, i cannot wait! For those that are joining me this weekend, i am looking forward to meet you :) Lot's of other exciting things happening at the moment. Looking forward to share my journey with you! Love Fauve

Kaisercraft

Layout:Beautiful memories-All that glitters

Tutorial: I took the gold baroque paper and used it as the background for my layout. Then i cut the white polkadot paper into a 6x12 piece and adhered it to the middle of the background paper. On the sides of the gold baroque papier i placed 2x12 strips of parchment paper and stitched them. Then i layered my photo on to a piece of gold chevron and parchment paper and glued them together in the middle. I cut out several butterflies and used some flower and frame diecuts and sticked them under my photo. When i was sure of the placements, i glued them to the background. After that i stitched the gold chevron paper in place and added a title and journaling tags.

Card/label: All that glitters

Tutorial: I took a large tag and traced the shape onto the back of the white/gold polkadot paper. I cut the tag out and punched a hole in the top center. Then i took a piece of string, looped it through and pulled it tight. Then i took a piece of parchment paper and adhered it to the middle of the tag. I cut a rectangle piece of the mint butterfly paper and cut a triangle from the bottom to create a banner. To secure the paper to the tag i stitched it together on the top of the butterfly paper. Then i layered two diecut framed and sticked them to the middle of the banner. With 3-d foam i adhered the gold foil eggs and butterfly.

Mixed Media: Totally Awesome- Off the wall

Tutorial: I took a blank canvas and glued the jeans paper to the background using matte medium. When it was dry i glued on the mesh, metal items and wooden Love Always banner. After that i covered all the items with a layer of gesso and set aside to dry or use your heattool. Once it was dry i added structure paste using some stencils and let it dry. I then took Viva Decor rust colored paint and covered the metal embellishments in the corners. In a spray bottle i mixed Viva Decor graphite paint and black ecoline with water and sprayed one corner and shook off the acces paint and water. After it was dried with the heattool i did the same to the other corner. Some corners were still to dark so i added more water to make it lighter. To match my photo i mixed some green and white paint and painted some areas in the left upper and right lower corner. Once everything was dried, i used the checker plate stamp to cover the tissue paper. I distressed the blue paper using my scissors and applied it to the middle of the canvas. I cut the Totally Awesome from the paper and used some blendable crayons to give it more color. I also used a brown crayon for the frame of the photo and adhered it on top of the papers.

Copic Markers and workshop

I am a scrapbooker at heart. A 12x12 size Scrapbooker, and Project Life but that's about it. No minni albums, ATC or cards. however, i did see a lot of people use the Copic markers for their card projects. On every craft show, you will see people using the markers coloring these cute stamp images. But i was telling myself, this is not for me...I don't make cards, and you can't use it for scrapbooks. I couldn't be more wrong! These markers are so much fun, and you can use them for so many cute things. I know, i know...you are probably thinking, yes WE already knew that haha But it is new to me, and i am here to say that i DO like it now. I bought some cute project life cards from Tineke Visser. They have a white background and they needed some color. I thought i should try the Copic Markers using an Ombre technique. Love how this turned out, who doesn't love Ombre? ;)
It was just the right amount of soft color that this little card needed if you ask me. Next time, i will try it with several Copic Markers to make some Rainbow Ombre cards for Project Life.

You can buy the Copic Markers here, the are on sale. Busch &Vanderworp
How cute is my little Pom Pom Purin?? :) Bought a pack of stickers from the Line App.

I have been working on some workshop i'll be teaching at Scrobby in Spijkenisse. Love these people, they are so great ! I will be teaching my first Project Life workshop, using the Simple Stories, Say Cheese line. Finally a chance to use up some of my favorite Disney photo's! This line is so perfect for this, such beautiful colors. Many Disney scrapbook products are way too bright in my opinion, but this collection has very nice warm colors, i really like it. Sounds good right? Come join me on the 11th of April, for a fun day full of Disney Magic ;)

I'll be back soon with some new projects! XOXO Fauve

March

I saw this fun idea on Nicole Reaves blog about a list of current things. Here is mine :)

Watching : The usual...Grey's Anatomy,Vampire Diaries(although it is not as fun as it used to be anymore),The Originals, and i started watching Boardwalk Empire some time ago.

Needing : Some new shoe's for Julian, and the boy's definitely need a new hair cut.

Registering : Need to sign the boy's up for swimming lessons and maybe Breakdancing?

Drinking : Water and Spa Cherry Apple...Trying to stay away from the Coke. The boy's are drinking Ice Tea Lemon or Peach.

Building : Workshops for Scrobby (This is going to be fun!) and an article for Paper Memories.

Wishing :  A certain someone is coming to visit me soon!

Purging : My closet. I had too much stuff, that i don't wear anymore. Besides, we all need a new Spring waredrobe right? I love Spring and i am so excited, can not wait. Bring on the sun, picnics, Easter, pastel colors and more!

Thinking : About my upcoming Disney trip with the kids. It has been a while since we went there, and i know we will have a magical time. Taking Julian to London for his 10th!!! birthday, it's gonna be an amazing experience. He loved going to London when we went to the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studios last year for his birthday.

This weekend : No plans this weekend yay! Hope i get to take some pictures of the boy's, it has been too long! The weather was not allowing us to get out and doing shoots.

For the boy's

Wow it has been a busy two month's! So let's start with Carnival...Yes we have carnaval her in Holland. No, not the fun and exotic kind we all know from brasil, i wish! Here we have dress up, weird music and liquor...Lot's of liquor! Apparently people throw away all boundries with carnival. I like my space and i don't like to be touched or hugged by crazy drunk strangers. (Call me crazy!?) But somehow it is all "allowed"during Carnival, which is why i won't go ha! But i have to say, for the kids it is awesome! Who doesn't like dress up? I know i do, and my kids as well. So Julian went as a Cowboy this year and Maxim went as a Ninja! Great combo if you ask me :)

We have been struggling to fight this flu that has been going around. Horrible, i really dislike winter time. That being said, Spring is coming! My very favorite time a year, with my favorite holiday Easter. I am thinking of going all out with two day's of Easter breakfast :)

I have been a busy bee in the Scrapbooking department. Working on some workshops for Scrobby and some projects for magazines. Yay, happy me! Here are some Boy's layout's i made. Just for fun!
Hope you enjoy them <3 p="">

My new favorite! I really like all the bits and pieces, and the cool photo's ofcourse. I used the tag behind the photo for some hidden journaling. I know some people prefer to use only the new lines that are in store, but i really like this mixture of old and new.
We went to a fun small festival the other day when a friend of my was playing (He is a DJ). There was a breakdance spot, and Maxim loved it. He was not scared or anything, and did his thing in the middle of all the kids who are taking lessons at that place. I think we might have to put him up for classes as well ;) There is some hidden journaling behind this picture as well. The tag has a fearless tab with a plastic cover.

I made this layout with some of Elle's Studio Cameron collection. This is one of my favorite photo's of the boy's. This shows exactly how they are, happy brother's.

Thanks for looking, what have you been up to?

Project Life Crate Paper The Pier

I have loved this collection from the first moment i'd saw it on the Crate Paper blog. The pastel colors and vintage embellishments go so well together. I took some pictures from the boy's when we were visiting Slagharen themepark and i think they look great with the The Pier collection. I think this might be favorite Project Life spread now :) Thanks for visiting!

Elle's Studio Project Spotlight Winner!

Yay, i am this week project Spotlight winner over on the Elle's Studio blog. This layout was picked using the Elle's Studio cameron collection. Thank you Elle, what an honor :)

Lille

My family and me love thriftshopping and visiting fleamarkets. We try to visit the big fleamarket in Lille every year. It's alway's the first weekend of September in Lille,France. Over the years i have found some great Antique porcelains, vintage prints and fashion items. Here are some of my finds.

This is one of my favorite layouts. I really like this picture of my mom, in one of our favorite places. The colors i used for this layout's are a few of my favorites as well. Thank you 7Gypsies! Still one of my favorite brands out there.
My mom bought these nuts at a really cute stand in Lille. Even the sign had the most perfect blue color and it was jus very vintage looking. Wish i took more pictures. I really like the cut out title on this layout. I never really use a lot of red on my layout's,but i think it looks really good with the vintage linnen color and seagreen.
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Scrapping, love Fauve
