Totally random...

Okay,time to share some stuff!First i wan't to show you 3 layouts i made with the new Dozens kit.

This layout is for my friend Cindy.She is fantastic and i love so many things about her.She has a really warm personality that is so inspiring.She is one of those person's that just inspires me to be a better person.From now on i will call her "my Amelie" :D This layouts is about Antoinette and Natasja.They were having a fabulous time at the Scrap-a-licious weekend and i am glad i took this picture.I think it reflects a bit from the weekend and how much fun we are having.I seriously love these kind of events!
This one is about the fun moments my best friend Marianne and i are having when she comes to visit me.We have some sort of routine,and that routine is not good for your diet LOL I miss these moments a lot,but i am sure we can catch up when she comes to visit me in a couple of day's!

I wanted to stitch the journaling spot,but i had no sewing machine around.Will do it later...i think. I stole this picture from Corinne's blog...She made this layout about me for the CMF magazine.Isn't it pretty?I did a photoswap with my friend Dana.She made me this layout and i love it!She is the master of little embellishments and i think her work is amazing.It kinda reminds me of the layout Amber made for me some time ago.This style is really attractive to me.Gotta try it sometimes...Just for fun!Many thanks to Chantal who gave me this award!Unfortunately i won't be playing along.I have to many scrap friends that deserve this awars,and i can't just pick a few of them.Sorry!(It made me really happy though...)Don't forget to check out the Amelie blog today!Larissa did a post about the locations from the Amelie movie,and it is really amazing to see.Who doesn't love Paris??

Did anyone see my mojo??

Because for the last 2/3 weeks my mojo totally left me.I think it has flew of to another country together with the bad weather.It's crazyyyyyyy HOT in The Netherlands,and i can't handle this weather at all!I have been wanting to scrap,but nothing really came out of my hands.

I made this layout about Disney,but i am not sure if i like it...Doesn't really mather because it was the picture and journaling that mattered.I like to go all dressed up in Disney style when i am going to Disney...Because in Disney,everyone can be a kid again...

Journaling say's:

All dressed up in a Minnie Mouse shirt and my new Minnie Mouse bow,Disney here i come!

Then my rescue team send me a package and my mojo was slowly coming back to me...Thank you Dozens!!So i created this layout using the photo stickers Julian and i took at the fair.We had a great time at Europe's biggest fair here in Tilburg,The Netherlands.I wen't in a lot of "sick making" attractions...

So if you wonder why i don't have the new thickers jet??Well there is you're answer :D I made this layout using The Dozens June kit too!It's for my dear friend Larissa.Hope she likes it...By the time i was creating this layout,my mojo was finally coming back to me!Just need a little bit of creativity and i'm the old me again.Wish me luck!

My Bday trip was AWESOME!

Didn't see too much from Paris,but that's okay.It just means i have to go back,soon!What a beautiful city,i really LOVE Paris!So ofcourse it started with some trouble...It wouldn't be the same without it,ha!When we arrives at our hotel,they told us they didnt recieve our reservation and we had to wait and wait untill we got a new room.I was meeting Larissa around 11.30AM but because of the hotel trouble's i was running late.She gave me her number so i could call her,but somehow the number or my phone was not working in France...I was getting all freaked out since i was too late and i couldn't reach her.I was just gonna call the Amelie cafe when she called me.I was so happy when she told me she would wait for me!The trip to the cafe from my hotel took forever and i felt really bad by the time i arrived.There she was,my sweet friend Larissa and her husband Flavio.Talking about gorgeous,sweet and honest people,wow!I loved them and i am so hoping we will meet again.Maybe next time in Paris??Or maybe i should go to Brazil??

Afterwards i was suprised that i didn't take so many pictures,but luckily Larissa did :D I was far too busy talking their ears off to take pictures...We went to all kinds of Amelie places,and it just felt so magical!Can't wait to scrap these new pictures.At the end of this super fun day,we had a Bday dinner at the Cowboy cook out in Disney Village.It was soooo yummo!The other 2 day's we spent our time at the most magical place on earth...Disneyland :) Can't get enough of it!Which is good since we have a passport.When we go with the kids,we spent most of the times waiting in lines for the little kids attractions and the parade.So this time we decided to do all the things we couldn't do before.I just loveeeeeed the Tower of Terror and Crush Coaster.We also went in this Rock rollercoaster,but that was wayyyy too much for me.I thought my head was going to explode!After all,i am already 22... ;)

So it was a really good weekend and i got really spoiled with a lot of presents.My parents gave me a HP scanjet.So finally i can scan everything i wanted to scan for the past 3 years or so.I got a lot of bags,shoe's and clothe's from Clarence.Yes,i picked them out myself!I got more shoe's from my parent's (shoe addict??Ces't moi??)and some really cute scrapbooking supplies and beautiful bag from Larissa all the way from brazil.And as top of the cake...My brother fixed me 2 really cool movies called S*x and the City and K*ngfu Panda.Which i can't stop watching...

So that's it for the Bday weekend,let's move on to the scrapbooking stuff!The new ScrapMojo challenge is up and it is a fab one as always.Come over and play!

Friday is my Bday!

And it's going to be a really special day!I am going to Paris for my Bday and meet my Brazilian friend Larissa!We are meeting at the Amelie cafe,and we are going to have a great time :) Can't wait to take a million pictures.

...to say Hi.It has been way too long since i updated.Big apology's here...Since i have seen the Sex and the City movie i have been kinda addicted to watching all the seasons again.I am only at season 4,so i have more to watch...But i hope to be a better blogger this week!Sorry,i can't help it.I remember again why this is my favorite show.

I wanted to show a few layouts i made a while ago for the English SCRAPBOOK magazine.The article was about tissue paper.Which is one of my favorite non scrapbooking products!

And so,another week went by...

Okay so the EK soccer totally took all my free time these last two weeks."Unfortunately" that won't be happening anymore,because we are out of the game!Can't wait to see who win though...

So now you know why it took so long to update.I was totally beat after every game of supporting LOL

Only a few more day's before Maxim turns the big 1!! on the 1st of July.And i think it's so hard what to get him as a present.Any idea's are welcome...My mom is getting him a walking car(??You call it like that??)I better start practicing on those cupcakes!

New stuff to show!

Okay so i went jiggy(Isn't that a fun word??) with my Dozens kit and created a new layout for the SIStv challenges last weekend.Ofcourse i didn't finish it on time,but hey i finished it...Not much going on besides the fact that i am totally obsessed by the Sex and the City movie!I keep looking for clutch bags,eventhough i havn't got something to wear with it...And let's not start on the heels.I love them all,but when do i wear heels?

I also made a layout for fun.It's about my brother,alway's being there for me when i really need him.

My B-day is in July (the 18th for the ones who like to know :D) and i bought myself the coolest vintage dress.At least,that's what i think.On the picture they pinned the dress together on the back to make it look fitted.Because we all know i do NOT have the body from that dummy...We've got to keep it real right? :)

I laughed,cried and learned!

My mom and i went to see the new Sex and the City movie yesterday,and from now on it's my favorite movie ever!At least that's how it feels right now...I loved every single minute from that movie.It was touching, honest and beautiful.I can't wait to get it on dvd and watch it like a 100 times!

Yay,i am creative today!

Well actually yesterday,but i just love the rhyme :) Ive been scrapping my but off,just for fun!It felt so good scrapping again after a week of vacation,not being able to scrapbook.Talking about a serious addiction!Anyway,i know i prommised you an update from my vacation,but i didn't wan't this creative boost to pass me by...So i will be back soon with that update i prommised you.Or you can check out the Amelie blog for some pictures i took at the Amelie cafe and Sacre Coeur.

Okay so let's move on to the sharing part!I made this layout for the Lisa Finn Scrapjack.Too bad they ended the challenge earlier,because now i couldn't make the deadline...Oh well,maybe next time!I had fun anyway :)
I made this ONE for the OLW challenge!Totally not my style but i wanted to try something different again...Not sure if i like it though.I always have the feeling it is TOO empty!!
There is a new challenge up at SIStv by Fashionista Jody.She inspired me so much with this challenge,that i made two layouts in one night.Which is rare for me,since i am the slowest scrapper ever! LOL I played with The Dozens kit,which was so yummy again and totally got my Mojo flowing!
Okay i am off to scrap some more.I feel so creative,yay!Happy Scrapping :)

Trend Spotting

It seems like the trends in the gallery are ever-changing. However, as I was browsing the gallery one trend stood out to me... the technique of distressing paper (almost in a mess-like fashion) whether it is using an actual distressor or crumpling or folding it randomly and stapling or sewing down the edges...the more mess the better!

This one by fauvevanmaanen shows that by bending the corner, you can add more elements to the back to add texture. She also made a crumpled messy flower.

How cool is this?My Amelie layout!!It was in the newsletter from Scrap in Style tv.It was so much fun to be in the article together with my friend Cristina.

It has been a stressful week...

I am glad to share that my dad is back home and he is doing alright.It has been a long week with lots of stess and sleepless nights.Somehow seeying him at home now,it feels like it never happened.Really strange!I wanted to thank you all for your sweet comments and emails.They helped and mean a lot!

We are going on vacation to Paris/Disney next week,and i can't wait to just relax and enjoy.

My grandma is celebrating her 80th birthday this Sunday and i still have to think of a present...So if you have a great idea,pleaseee let me know!I totally don't mind to do a scraplift of something :)

I have a new addiction going on...Deco tapes!I love love love them,and can't get enough of them!

Tears...

Yes i am in tears.I cried so much i have a really bad headache!I got a call from my mom yesterday that my dad wasn't feeling okay and he had a really bad pain in his chest.He was coming over and lay in bed.My mom told him to go to the docter first.He would call her when he knew more.So after a while,my mom calls me to tell me that my dad wen't to the docter and he had to go to the hospital to make a little hart video.Well i was already feeling kinda stressed out by then.My mom told me she would call me when she knew more...So after a while my mom calls me to ask where i was.I was near home,so she told me she would talk to me when i got home.That was the moment i knew there was something wrong.When i came home i saw my mother in tears and she told me my dad had a stroke.I was (and still am) in shock!All i could say was NO NO NO.Atleast that's what i remember.Ofcourse i started crying...Not too long because i was scaring the shit out of Julian LOL We wen't to visit him yesterday and he was lying there with a monitor and lot's of cords.He was looking good for someone who just had a stroke!He has to stay in the hospital for a minimum of 4 day's and he can't work for 4-6 weeks.There are still a lot of risks.But he is tough one,so i have faith in him.I am really scared though.I wouldn't know what to do without him,since we are really close.So dad,i KNOW you are going to read this later.I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Because of this happening i didn't have time to scrapbook or anything,but i'll be back when i have some more time.At the moment my head is just not feeling like it.

14 hours of walking!!

Yes,it' crazy!We have walked for 14 hours on the May market...I dumped my kids at their dad,so i had all the time i needed.We started Saturday evening around 8.30PM and got home around 3.30AM.Around looking at all our stuff we wen't to bed around 5AM!!We got up at 8AM and took the bus to the May market again.We wen't home around 4PM.Yesss we are crazy and addicted to (vintage) bargains.I had such a blast i didn't even miss sleeping.Well after coming home from the May market on Sunday,i was completely dead.I am still recovering from it LOL I found some really cool stuff though :)

I bought this vintage baby sleeping bag.First i wasn't going to take it because Maxim was already to big for it.But then i realized that i could just use the fabric.I payed 10ct for it :) (Wow i feel so Dutch right now LOL)

So while my dad and i were walking we spotted this awesome green stuff that somebody wrapped around an umbrella to keep it in place.Without any doubt my dad asked if i could take a piece to use for my hobby.(Isn't my dad the best??)The guy said no problem and he gave us a knife to cut it.I am so happy with it,and can't wait to use it.Any cool idea's are more then welcome!It looks like some kind of weird bubblewrap.So much fun! My main goal was looking for vintage books.Somehow i think i succeeded...

They look cute huh?I think so too!You will be seeying them on my layouts a.s.a.p.So besides the cute vintage finds i also bought 3 pairs of vintage boots and a pair of new flats.A bathseat for Maxim and some toy's for the boys.But besides the great finds i also had a verry good time with my family.Can't wait for next year!

I saw the movie Jumper with Samuel L. Jackson.And wow it was good!You should def. check it out!
