Project Life Stempelen:

Project Life Fusen:

Scrapbooking in lagen:

Project Life Sinterklaas:

Project Life cut it out:
Wil jij net even wat anders?

Project Life DIY:

Project Life Embellish it:

Paper Passion part 2

How is it that sometimes it feels like life is going fast forward? It freaks me out, because i always feel like i am missing stuff. Which i probably am ha!

I wanted to share some more stuff from the Paper Passion event. It was so amazing and i have such great memories! The standowners were so nice and the overall vibe was just so happy and relaxed.

De beursorganisatie asked me if i was willing to vlog a live Facebook video on the Paper Passiom event, it was crazy! Never vlogged before but it was so funny. Ofcourse without no experience i messed it up big time with no sound and at a wrong angle untill i got it "right".

My workshop students were such a delight! They were so easygoing and creative. Big shout out to them! These were the projects we made at the workshops.

Ofcourse i have to share a few photos from my workshops, everyone gave it a twist of their own and we all ended up with different pages.

My booth was very busy and people had such kind words about my projects. Thanks to everyone who visited my booth and came by to have a little chat. You made this event so much more amazing for me! Hope to see you at the Paper Passion next year!

Paper Passion part 1

This past weekend the Paper Passion event took place in Tilburg, The Netherlands. What an amazing experience! I had my own stand in mint and pink, decorated with gold polkadots and donuts! Everyone that knows me, knows i am a huge lover of donuts. They look adorable and are yummy too! My flyer for the new studio has donuts on the front with my name written in gold letters. So pretty! That is why i wanted to stick to the donut them in my booth. I received some amazing wall stickers in gold polka-dots and pink donuts by Perfect Little Touch. Be sure to check those out, the quality is amazing!

So proud of the way my stand looked, i received such nice feedback on the overall look. it's nice when something turns out the way you want it to be.

I met so many nice creative people on the event, and the vibe was just perfect. Everyone was happy and excited to be there! The people who attended my workshop were very sweet and such great learners, i really love sharing my creativity!

With Femke from Fotoboekcreatie. Our vlog was such a blast!

Finally a selfie with this cutie! Karin-Joan is such a sweetheart :)

On Thursday i teached a workshop Christmas Delight where we played with the Fuse tool. I love this page protector with the 9 large squares. We fused the middle and created a shaker pocket with little stars. We used Hero Arts stamps and Tonic Studios dies to create this layout.

Monkey Coffee has the most delicious donuts in Tilburg! They have a little store on the Pieter Vredeplein in Tilburg. They gave me these donuts as a treat during my workshop. :)
Did you visit Paper Passion? I bet you had an amazing time! I will post some more pictures tomorrow. :) Happy Scrapping!

Lazy days

I am having a VERY lazy week. The kids started school again last Monday, and i still have to get used to the whole routine thing...And with that i mean getting up early and get dressed. You know actually something besides scrapbook in my pyjama all day, while the kids play on their computers, watch Netflix and play Basketball.

A few weeks ago, i was busy reorganizing my Scrapbook stash, so i could actually find the supplies i needed. My desk is a mess, like always...24/7. Is that just me? It's a dumping ground for anything paper related. I see so many beautiful studios, with minimal amounts of supplies and decorations. I am not sure if the hoarder in me will ever succeed at that. But here is to hoping! I am thinking about switching to white furniture. The dark wood is really warm, but i am ready for a more clean look to go with my mint storage items and gold accessories. Here are a few sneaks from Studio. The wire bakset is from Action and the large plastic divider boxes are from Hema. They are huge and perfect for storing all of my little embellishments.

Speaking of mint and gold...Have you seen the new Crate Paper storage products? Wow! I will need them all...Super cute, and beautiful colors. What is your favorite? Mine is the gold rack and the 12x12 storage for paper, chipboard or stickers... I think Scrapbookers spend just as much time and money on reorganizing, as they do on actual Scrapbooking ha! But hey, it is part of the process and as long as you enjoy it, it's a win win situation.

Here are two of my favorite layouts i havn't showed here before. It is using the Crate Paper Confetti line. My absolute favorite collection EVER! The 'big smile' layout was published in JOT magazine, which is an amazing magazine full of inspiration and great projects!

Another project that i am working on and completely loving is my new planner. I love it! I started using a Happy Planner last July and it is an amazing planner with loads of space to decorate. I am using it as a Memory Planner with pictures and such to remember everything that happened this year. How gorgeous is this design?

What are your tricks to keep up with your planner? Let me know! xoxo Fauve

Holding on to Summer

Besides Spring, nothing can beat Summer! The weather, the clothes and the nice food. Who knows me, will know that i love a good picnic or barbeque. Shocking that we have only enjoyed one picnic and no barbeque this year. Hoping to squeeze in another picnic this weekend, the weather is going to be perfect.

Here is a Project Life page i made using the pictures from our trip to the beach @ speelland Beekse Bergen. Loving these fresh colors from the Happy Place collection by Dear Lizzy. Ofcourse our trip wouldn't be complete without some adventure, so we had to go to the First Aid because of a bleeding toe and a cut in the belly. Maxim bumped his toe against a stone in the water and scratched his belly open by a stick in the water. What are the odds? haha Luckily he was fine, but it did leave a big scar on his belly. :(

Here is my layout with the new Take me Away collection from Pink Paislee by Paige Evans. Love these beautiful colors, anything pastel fits right up my alley. I am ready for a new adventure, that's why i went for a layout that reminds me about taking risks and adventures,
It is official, i am 30! I dreaded the age for years, thinking my life needed to be perfect when i reached this age. I realised there is no such thing as perfect, and i don't need societies standards in my life. I can make my own standards, and live 30 to the fullest and feel blessed with what i have.

Last Sunday i decided to do a little DIY. After browsing Pinterest, i found someone who spray painted her typewriter and i loved the result. She used a pastel Pink color, but i only had Gold spray paint so that's what i used. I removed the metal top cover from my typewriter, cleaned it and spray painted it gold. It only had to dry for 20 minutes or so, and i was looking at a "brand new" gold typewriter. It looked very boring before, so i really love the way it looks now. I accept it's presence in my craft space now haha.

Do you have a great DIY project you are working on? I would love to see it, please share.
Happy Scrapping, Fauve

Andy Skinner challenge

I love the style of Andy Skinner, the grunge industrial look is totally my thing. You wouldn't say so when you look at the baby pages in my last post but it is true.

Andy is hosting a challenge in a bright and colorful theme and here is my entry.

Here are some detail shots.

I was going for a Mermaid abstract look.

Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Workshop

I recently teached a Project Life baby workshop at Scrobby, and i just wanted to say Thank you to everyone who attended. Everyone did an amazing job and left with beautiful projects for their baby albums. I hope i have inspired you to finish your baby albums, as it is my goal as well to finish the baby albums this year.

Here is the spread we made.

I am so in love with this Little You collection from Crate Paper.

I have been enjoying some Mixed Media lately, creating many layers before adding colors. I am hoping to create something colorful for our livingroom or maybe my studio.

I am happy to announce that my work can be seen in Docrafts magazine from now on.

You can find their wonderful products here.

I have been working on a Scrapbook 12x12 workshop that i will be teaching at Scrobby mid April. It will feature different fun techniques to apply on your layouts. Think Ombre, cut-outs and more!
Hope to see you there! :)

Project Life

I love the concept of Project Life. Creating easy and quick pages to get scrapbooking done quickly. That is unless your name is Fauve van Maanen. As natural as scrapbooking comes to me, i am way overthinking Project Life. I am a bit crazy when it comes to color coördination and everything needs to be balanced. And since you are adding several pictures to a layout, this can be quite the challenge! Since most pictures have different colors in them. But overall i really like the completed look of Project Life pages, all the little details. Hope you like them, thanks for looking.

Impression from Creativeworld and Paperworld Messe Frankfurt Germany.

Wow wow wow! I just had an amazing weekend at Creative world and Paper world in Frankfurt, Germany. I saw so many great companies and met such nice people. Loved it! Here is an impression of this weekend.
